Boho Combo

A beautiful collaboration in texture and tone. The studio recently partnered with a client to create sample garments that showcase the true potential of her textile line. The result is a pairing of a lustrous Polish long-fiber linen in espresso brown and a tailored printed Italian cotton. Using patterns supplied by the client, I focused on subtle embellishments that honor the fabrics. To elevate the blouse, I added a delicate running stitch along the cuffs and neckline using a contrasting white cotton purl thread. For the pants, we opted for a five-inch crop, introducing split outseam vents and functional hem ties to give the silhouette a bit of casual movement. There is a distinct joy in straightforward tailoring, reminding us that custom clothing doesn't always have to be complex to feel completely intentional.
